New Zeelander 5

The new model will be available in early 2022.

Dutch manufacturer Zeelander has revealed the first image a new project set for launch early next year. The Zeelander 5 builds on the success of the Z44 and the company says the new model will “showcase a new level of interior design and volume.” She’s 48’ long and is the second model of a new series that started with the Z72 that will be renamed the Z7.

New and Different

Sietse Koopmans is the owner of the Groot-Ammers yard in the Netherlands where the Z5 will be built. He said the Z5’s interior is a continuation of the lines of the Z72. She’s powered by triple Volvo Penta IPS propulsion systems and will have the engine builder’s Assisted Docking system with a joystick.

 

The new Z5 will have Zeelander’s trademark styling and high-tech construction.

Another trait that Koopmans pointed to is that the Zeelander 5 will be a quiet yacht thanks to rigorous mechanical design and high-tech claddings. “Over the past 20 years, I have been obsessed with  sound and vibration — I even founded a company that specialized in it,” said Koopmans. “The Zeelander 5 will become the quietest vessels in its size range. And you can be sure of the top-quality ride and comfort on board that is to be expected of a Zeelander.”
