The Steelpointe Show
Starts Today – For VIPs Only
... and that’s the way it should be. After all, without boat buyers, there would be no boat shows. That’s why it’s an “invitation-only” show. Total attendance to the four-day show is limited to just 3,000 show-goers – fewer than a thousand a day.
All attendees are considered VIPs and are treated accordingly – there is valet parking at the canopied entry, complimentary cocktails and beverages and even free haircuts by expert barbers. More than 60 boats will be on display, all for sale and all available now because they come from local dealer inventory.
The Steelpointe Yacht & Charter Show will be held in Bridgeport, CT starting today through Sunday, Sept. 27 – and, as a Member of BoatTEST, you’re invited!
Admittance to today's show is closed, but you can RSVP for Friday to Sunday. To receive a VIP pass for entrance into the show, please write [email protected] and provide your name and the names and email addresses of those in your party (so they can get their QR smartphone pass), as well as the day you plan to attend.
See you at the show!!!

Nordhavn N60:
Engineered for Easy Maintenance
The engine room on the Nordhavn N60 we tested was surgically clean, had headroom that averaged around 5’ (1.52 m) and was cooled with Dayton blowers and intakes. There’s excellent space all around the single John Deere diesel, and systems are grouped by function. For example, all the hydraulic systems are to port with the main tank positioned aft. Each of the boat’s four fuel tanks has its own sight gauge. All of this encourages daily fluid checks, inspection of sea strainers and the like. The folks at Nordhavn have been building transoceanic trawlers for 42 years and have learned a lot from the hundreds of owners that have taken their boats nearly everywhere in the world in all conditions. The result is an engine room that is as owner friendly as possible. More...

Sailfish 360 CC:
Rugged Yet Refined
The flagship of the Sailfish fleet, the 360 CC is powered by triple 300-hp Yamaha outboards. With the manufacturer’s Variable Degree Stepped (VDS) hull design and Yamaha’s digital controls and Helm Master system with a joystick, drivers have what they need to maintain command of the boat even in offshore conditions. She has one of the deepest cockpits in class and her hullside door swings in to make it easier to board a large tuna, climb aboard after a dive, or step aboard from a floating dock. More...

Brabus Marine Shadow 500:
High-Style Performer w/Thrills
There’s a reason why luxury automobile customizer Brabus chose the Axopar 28 for its Brabus Marine Shadow 500. The boat can cut a handsome figure with striking Brabus styling. The 31’3” (9.53 m) twin-stepped bottom is powered by twin 250-hp Mercury four-stroke outboards. She planes in 3.1 seconds and hits a top speed of 62.7 mph at 5990 rpm. When the water gets rough, this boat shines, busting through waves with her sharp blunt bow and carving through turns in a tight radius. High-backed bucket seats provide comfort and support for five passengers plus the captain so everyone can enjoy a thrilling ride. More...

Formula 350 Sun Sport:
Performance Boat w/a Helm to Match
The Formula 350 Sun Sport’s helm means business.
When powered by a pair of 480-hp Ilmor Marine sterndrives, the Formula 350 Sun Sport is every bit a performance boat with a maximum speed that tops 60 mph and exhilarating handling. She also has a helm worthy of that performance with trim and fuel gauges flanking the compass up top and go-fast style Livorsi Monster series tachometers and a speedo to port. A centrally-positioned multifunction display provides navigation data and alongside is a customizable Ilmor display. Digital controls and a joystick are to starboard and the shifting with the hydraulically-operated Ilmor One drives is so smooth, it must be experienced. More...

ULTRA Anchor:
Designed for Nearly Any Bottom
We have used the ULTRA anchor cruising the Alaskan panhandle with all sorts of bottom conditions, and it set on the first try every time. ULTRA anchors are designed to deploy through the stem, integrated into a pulpit or as part of a roller system. They’re made from hand-polished stainless steel and the weight, serial and model numbers are stamped into the shank. Offerings range from 11 lbs. to 800 lbs. (5 to 360 kg) and the anchor is designed with all the weight in the tip. When it’s released, the ULTRA anchor always falls into the correct attack position. The curved tip digs in quickly and side plates keep it from moving laterally. More...
