Operation Dry Water Encourages Sober Boating

Operation Dry Water is a nationwide effort by law enforcement agencies to keep people from drinking alcohol and operating a boat. Driving a boat under the influence of alcohol is leading cause of accidents on the water and it's just plain stupid. Before heading out on the water, designate a sober captain and if the boat is 26' (7.92 m) long or shorter, the operator must also wear the emergency shutoff lanyard when at the helm.
