The Adventure 780 is the builder’s first steel-hulled explorer yacht.
Outer Reef Yachts has celebrated a major milestone with the launch of its first steel-hulled explorer yacht, the Adventure 780. Measuring 24m in length, it marks the builder’s entry into the steel expedition yacht market.
Ft Lauderdale-based Outer Reef usually produces yachts in Taiwan, but the Adventure 780 was constructed at Outer Reef’s Dutch shipyard in Nijkerk.
It is the first model in the new Adventure Series, created in partnership with Lynx Yachts following their strategic merger in 2024.
Tailored for experienced owners seeking long-range performance, durability, and onboard luxury, the Adventure 780 is built to CE Category A standards and features:
- Fast-displacement steel hull
- Beam of 6.75m
- Draft of 1.9m
- Excellent stability and seakeeping performance
- Twin 425 hp Cummins QSB 6.7 engines
- Top speed of 12.4kt
- Cruising speed of 11.4kt
- Transoceanic range of 3,000Nm at 7kt
The exterior is styled by Bernd Weel Design, with interiors by Julian Moore Design and naval architecture by Lynx Yachts. Owners can customise the interior layout, which includes generous storage, tender and toy stowage, and the option of four or five staterooms alongside two crew cabins.
The yacht’s outdoor areas are designed for both adventure and relaxation. The sun deck features multiple seating zones, a bar, and alfresco dining, while the aft cockpit offers a sheltered social space. The foredeck accommodates a 6m tender and up to two Jet Skis, with additional room for water sports gear.
Now entering final outfitting, the Adventure 780 will soon be showcased in the South of France and available for viewing by prospective buyers.
