Palm Beach 70:

A Downeast Yacht w/Power Options

Palm Beach 70

Palm Beach says that most customers order the company’s 74’4” (22.84 m) flying bridge yacht with pod drives, but more buyers may want to consider the upgrade to the 1,000-hp Volvo Penta straight-shaft inboards with a Twin Disc joystick that links control with the bow and stern thrusters. They make the boat easier to control when docking and the extra power gives the boat a top end that exceeds 30 knots. That gives the Palm Beach 70 the speed it needs for a quick getaway, and conventional propulsion has much lower maintenance requirements. For a destination that’s farther away, drop the speed to 15 knots and the range extends to about 1,000 miles. Regardless of the power, the boat exhibits the luxury and craftsmanship for which Palm Beach is known. More...

Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition:

Head-Turning Express Yacht

Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition

As if Riviera’s 6000 Sport Yacht wasn’t already a sleek, attractive express yacht, when the Australian manufacturer offered it with the Platinum Edition package, things went next-level. Finishing the hardtop and arch in custom silver and the electronics arrays, air vents and tops in black give the boat an even more stunning yet sporty profile. There are also some up-market additions inside. We find it rather amazing how much perceived added value Riviera has created with this styling change. More...

Hampton Yachts Endurance 720 Skylounge LRC:

Longer Range Luxury Motoryacht

Hampton Yachts Endurance 720 Skylounge LRC

That the Hampton Yachts Endurance 720 Skylounge LRC can be run above typical trawler speeds is a major benefit when a captain needs to get away from weather or an owner just wants to arrive at his destination sooner – thanks to her twin 1135-hp diesels. Obviously, this yacht looks more like a motoryacht than a traditional trawler, but don’t hold that against her, because she can travel at 8.8 knots and get 1.1 nmpg. She carries 2,000 gal. (7,570 L), weighs 123,000 lbs. (56,104 kgs), and has stabilizers. Her Skylounge is huge, one of the largest we have seen on this size boat, so she effectively has two salons. More...

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 490:

Easy-Sailing Offshore Yacht

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 490

The trend toward easy boating isn’t reserved for powerboats. Jeanneau’s team of Philippe Briand and Jean-Marc Piaton designed the Sun Odyssey 490 to have unobstructed passage throughout the cockpit and deck. That makes it easy to move when working the sails or pulling up to a dock. World-cruising, anyone? More...

Aquila 44:

Cruising Cat Designed for Charter

aquila-44-052520.png

Aquila 44

The Aquila 44 catamaran was developed from her twin bottoms up to be a cruising cat that can serve charter clients and private owners with equal parts of comfort and utility. Thanks to her 21’6” (6.56 m) beam, she feels like a much larger yacht. She features three separate cabins with en suite heads, a foldaway bar off the galley and an oversized bridgedeck. More...

How to Reduce the Pain of Depreciation

axopar-28.png

Axopar 28 T-Top for lease.

New boats depreciate very rapidly, even faster than automobiles. Depreciation, in fact, is the costliest aspect of boat ownership. Over the course of 5 years, new boat depreciation is typically on the order of 50% for most boats.

But now there is a way to mitigate your boat’s depreciation, and that is by leasing your boat to other like-minded people on those days it’s not in use. BoattestLEASING will market, manage and maintain your boat in a turnkey package that lets you use your boat, and earn income, too. For more information, contact general manager Greg Sweeney at (727) 200-3474 | [email protected] or visit our website.
