A 12-Step Marketing Program for Peak Performance

BoatTEST and Sharrow Marine are offering you an unprecedented “12-Step” marketing package. There is nothing like it in the industry and it is guaranteed to create buzz, engagement, and added sales for your models. Here’s how it works—

Step #1: The builder determines which of its models it would like to upgrade with a set of the award winning Sharrow Propellers™. Sharrow Marine will then begin the design process for a custom Sharrow Signature™ Propeller, that is hydrodynamically optimized for the boat and engine you select.

Step #2: Sharrow sends a Maretron VDR recorder for original, stock propeller baseline data collection on the selected vessel. Baseline testing is conducted by the builder (or a Participating Dealer). Upon completion of the testing, they then send the data to Sharrow Marine for analysis. The Maretron VDR recorder remains in the possession of builder or dealer until the Sharrow Signature™ testing is complete, later in the process. At that point, the recorder is shipped back to Sharrow Marine.

Step #3: Based on the baseline tests of the stock propellers, Sharrow Marine selects and sends a range of MX-1 and MX-2 Propellers to the builder (or, a Participating Dealer) for the next step in the data collection process. Data is then collected with a range of Sharrow Propellers™ by a Sharrow Marine test Captain for each set of propellers.

Step #4 Sharrow Marine runs the collected data through its proprietary design and analysis software to create a Sharrow Signature™ design that is fully optimized for the boat/motor configuration that was tested in Step 2 & 3. Then, the Sharrow Signature™ propellers are manufactured and machined to tolerances of +/- .003” -- over 10 times higher than the industry standard -- for this specific boat model and engine configuration. These props are then shipped to the builder or the Participating Dealer.

Step #5: A date is set for the “Dealer Demo Day” at a Participating Dealership and a BoatTEST and Sharrow Marine crew is assigned for testing. BoatTEST and Sharrow Marine then build a special sign-up page for the Participating Dealer for the “Invitation-Only” event, and links it to a HubSpot CRM. (“Invitation-Only” is a proven way of making sure serious consumers arrive, and to build your prospect list –see below.)

Step #6: BoatTEST promotes the Dealer Demo Day in its daily newsletter, by e-blasts to BoatTEST Members in the region, and provides digital flyers for the builder, dealer, and Sharrow Marine to send to prospects in the dealer’s region.

Step #7: HubSpot CRM collects all sign-ups for Dealer Demo Day and sends them in real time directly to the dealer for personalized follow-up. The consumers contact information is also sent to the builder, and can be nurtured and re-engaged.

Step #8: Sharrow Signature™ Propellers arrive at the dealership and BoatTEST’s captain and video crew test and shoot the boat before Dealer Demo Day to provide independent 3rd party testing data comparing the Sharrow Propellers ™ with the standard props for consumers.This validation testing should take place early enough to provide sufficient time to ensure satisfactory performance, should changes be necessary.

Step #9: Brand Name/Sharrow Prop Dealer Demo Day is held and dealership personnel give demo rides to prospects who attend, and hand out BoatTEST-Certified performance results. Sharrow provides a factory rep to attend to answer consumer questions about the props.

Step #10: BoatTEST develops a video and Captain’s Report and publishes/promotes both on:

1) BoatTEST’s Website (2.5 million unique visitors per year)

2) In the BoatTEST Newsletter to 160,000 subscribers

3) On BoatTEST’s YouTube Channel with 122,000 subscribers

4) On Social Media with 79,000 followers

Step #11: A copy of the BoatTEST video is given to the builder and the dealer for its unlimited use. This 3rd-party video with the nationally-known and influential Capt. Steve is ideal to use on websites, in follow-up emails, in newsletters and at boat shows or in showrooms. Having BoatTEST certify the results in its videos, generates research which engages prospects who can be followed up with HubSpot.
