Pearl Yachts Secures Sale of First Pearl 100 Hybrid Following Cannes Debut
The 30m flagship marks a significant step toward sustainable yachting.
Pearl Yachts, in collaboration with Mallorca Marine Group, has confirmed the sale of its first Pearl 100 Hybrid, marking a milestone for the British shipyard. The deal was finalized shortly after the yacht’s global unveiling at the Cannes Yachting Festival, signaling growing market interest in sustainable yachting solutions.
The buyer, a British owner and existing Pearl Yachts client, has opted to remain with the brand, reinforcing the shipyard’s reputation for quality and customer loyalty. The Pearl 100 Hybrid is set for launch in summer 2026, with its official debut planned for the Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Yacht Show later that year.
“The sale of the new Pearl 100 Hybrid is a defining moment for us,” says managing director Iain Smallridge. “It confirms our belief that the future of yachting lies in a harmonious blend of luxury and sustainability. To have the first hull acquired by a loyal client is the highest praise we could hope for; it validates not only our design and engineering but the very essence of the Pearl ownership journey. This sale is not just a transaction; it is the start of a new chapter for Pearl Yachts, as we lead the charge towards a cleaner, quieter, and more sophisticated era of sustainable yachting.”
The 30m Pearl 100 Hybrid is the largest yacht ever built by the shipyard and the first in its class to feature hybrid propulsion as standard. The system allows for silent, zero-emission cruising or speeds of up to 24kt, offering versatility without compromising performance. Designed by naval architect Bill Dixon and interior designer Kelly Hoppen CBE, the yacht includes five staterooms – two of which are full-beam master suites – and features aimed at enhancing the onboard connection to the ocean.
