Raymarine Axiom 2 Pro RVM MFD Chartplotter

Chartplotter, Ray Marine, Navigation Systems, Electronics

Check out these full-featured navigational and fish-finding systems at Defender Marine.

Raymarine’s Axiom® 2 Pro combines chartplotter, fish finder, radar, autopilot and video into a powerful all-in-one fishing and navigation system in a single MFD in 9”, 12” or 16” sizes.

The system makes it easy to plan your next offshore adventure and get underway with Axiom 2 Pro’s HybridTouch™ — a simple touchscreen and keypad experience made possible by the intuitive LightHouse operating system. The system has a powerful 6-core processor for faster, seamless integration of GPS, fishfinder, radar and video.

Axiom 2 Pro RVM chartplotters feature an integrated multi-channel fish finder with RealVision® MAX CHIRP sonar technology. You can see bottom and fish in multiple configurations, as well as using split screens to chart your position relative to what the sonar is showing, or to navigate complex multi-waypoint courses.

It’s also easy to keep an eye on other boats ahead, even at night or in fog or rain, with the radar screen, and add a video camera feed and you can keep an eye on the baits without turning your head away from the console.

Water-Repelling Coatings

Axiom 2 Pro's HydroTough™ nano-coating technology repels water for reliable touchscreen control, enhanced colors and excellent sunlight visibility.

Smart backlighting and an ambient light sensor automatically adjust display brightness for day and evening lighting conditions.

These features mean the screen can be read on an open console with the sun beating down just as well as inside a protected cabin—it’s an all-weather system designed to take on whatever the sea throws at it.

Available Keypad Control

Plan and plot your course with HybridTouch™ control and take command with reliable keypad control when seas are rough.

At times in heavy spray or rain, operating a touch screen can be tricky. Just switch to the keypad control on the Axiom 2 Pro and you can keep right on finding fish, even in tough conditions.

You can also customize your Axiom 2 Pro with interchangeable keypads that allow you to choose between a dedicated Evolution autopilot keypad or user-programmable soft keys.

Easy Fish Finding

Raymarine says the RealVision MAX sonar ups your fishfinding game with increased range, better resolution and sharper fish targets. Sidescan and downscan functions (with appropriate transducers) make it easier to visualize both bottom structure and your target species.

Axiom 2 Pro models with RealVision MAX feature built-in CHIRP DownVision, SideVision, RealVision 3D and 600-watt traditional CHIRP fishfinder for coastal fishing, plus a 1kW dual channel CHIRP fishfinder for extreme deep water.

Transducers

Among the transducer options are both transom mount and thru hull designs. One of the options likely to suit many anglers is the RVM-400.

The RVM-400 series transducers feature DownVision™, SideVision™, 600-Watt High CHIRP, and 3D sonar capability. The transducer has a built-in attitude and heading reference system (AHRS) that stabilizes 3D sonar imagery, automatically compensating for vessel motion. It also includes a fast-response water temperature sensor for quick, accurate readings.

The RVM-400 series transducers feature a rugged stainless steel through hull body suitable for fiberglass, wood, or metal hulls. The low-profile design slips effortlessly through the water without causing drag or cavitation.

The RVM-400 is a single, all-in-one transducer suitable for boats with a through-hull transducer mounting position with less than 5° hull deadrise.

The RVM-412 is a port and starboard transducer pair designed for boats with 5° to 15° of deadrise. Each transducer element is tilted at 12° to compensate for the hull deadrise.

The RVM-420 is a port and starboard transducer pair designed for boats with 15° to 25° of deadrise. Each transducer element is tilted at 20° to compensate for the hull deadrise.

The RVM-412 and RVM-420 transducer pairs feature titled offset sonar elements inside their surface mount housings. The tilted elements ensure the sonar's beam patterns are correctly aligned for maximum performance while eliminating the drag and turbulence associated with a fairing-blocked transducer installation. Bundled transducer pairs include a Y-Cable harness that internally joins the two transducers together and an 8-meter transducer extension cable.
