An After-the-Show
"Boat Show"
The Steelpointe Yacht & Charter Show was attended by 3,000 invitation-only guests spread over three days last weekend in Bridgeport, CT. The show made history for two reasons: 1) It was the first boat show to open after the worldwide lockdown and 2) It is the only Invitation-Only boat show in the world. What struck us as important – since it was the end of June – was that dealers were anxious to move their unsold inventory, and the prices being asked were, in most cases, significant discounts from normal street pricing.
So, if you didn’t have a chance to visit the show, here is a little “After-the-Show Boat Show.” More...

Riviera 43 Open Flybridge:
Owner-Friendly and Ready
Owner/operators should respond positively to the engine access on the 43 Open Flybridge.
Riviera Yachts has proven to be a manufacturer that is quite aware of the need to maintain and service its boats by owners. On the 43 Open Flybridge, a good example of this is that the entire cockpit deck lifts up on an electrohydraulic ram to provide access to the twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines. Note how high the deck rises, essentially creating an engine room with more than adequate headroom. More...

Tiara Sport 38 LS:
Outboard-Powered BR w/ Inboard Torque
Twin Seven Marine 527-hp outboards are all the power the 38 LS needs.
When Tiara Yachts made the move to outboards with its Tiara Sport series, one of the things that its customers said they wanted was the docking ability of the torquier inboards they were used to. Tiara Sports teamed up with Seven Marine and its parent corporation Volvo Penta to put Duoprop lower units on 527-hp outboards and voila, the 38 LS had the response around the docks. The collaboration also gave the boat joystick controls and the Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit helm and all the benefits that come with it. More...

HydroHoist:
Reliable Lifts for Boats & PWCs
HydroHoist was among the first manufacturers to provide lifts for pontoon boats.
If Cigarette is the generic term for a high-performance boat and jet ski is the same for personal watercraft, HydroHoist is the term people use when referring to boat lifts. The Oklahoma manufacturer builds the widest variety of affordable lifts for boats and personal watercraft for fresh and saltwater use. More...

The New Detroit of Aluminum Boat Building
Ranger Boats will be moving to a facility in Lebanon, Mo., in 2021.
In 1978, Tracker Marine started building aluminum boats near the Lake of the Ozarks in Lebanon, Mo., which is about 35 minutes away. Over the years, other builders gravitated to the location for several reasons, one of which is its geographic distance from the major areas of aluminum fishing boat use. Most recently, Ranger Boats, which is based in Flippin, Ark., announced that it will move all aluminum boat manufacturing to Lebanon in 2021. Find out who is there and what it means. More...
