Riviera Surpasses Milestone w/6000 Sport Yacht
Riviera Yachts has eclipsed a sales benchmark, launching its 100th 6000 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition. The latest model was delivered by R Marine in Sydney, Australia, to a new owner who has a long association with Riviera. The new 6000 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition is the buyer’s seventh Riviera and will be a sistership to his 5400 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition.
Level Thinking
The single-level layout of the 6000 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition attracted the new owner who reportedly want a relaxed, social style of boating. She was also the ideal size for him to handle himself instead of hiring a captain.
He plans to spend weekends aboard the flying bridge motoryacht and will take short trips to Port Stephens, Newcastle and Pittwater, with an extended trip up the coast to Whitsundays planned for this winter, according to the Newcastle Herald newspaper.
Gathering Choices
On the 6000 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition, the main salon hardtop has an integrated electric sunroof and an extended aft section that shades the cockpit. The aft deck has twin lounges, a dining table, wetbar and grille. Abaft, there’s a tender garage with a built-in electric winch forward of the large swim platform.
Moving indoors via sliding glass doors, immediately to port is the galley and there’s a smooth transition forward to the salon and dining area. Overhead are large skylights and side windows open. Forward to starboard, the helm can be customized with electronics to suit an owner’s needs.
Two Belowdecks Layouts
Owners also have a choice of floorplans for the accommodations deck. The “Classic” offers four staterooms with the master amidships and an optional lower lounge. The “Presidential” layout has three cabins and the master extends across the yacht’s beam.
The 6000 Sport Yacht Platinum Yacht Edition is powered by twin 10.8-liter Volvo Penta D11 IPS950s rated at 725 hp each.
