Riviera Yachts - A Year in Review 2023

The above video created by Riviera Yachts is worth seeing because it gives anyone interested in powerboats 39' to 78' (11.88 - 23,77 m) an insight into the culture created at Riviera. We have visited the sprawling facility on the Coomera River south of Brisbane, Australia, and can verify that the staff at Riviera have a can-do attitude and are proud of what they do.

Founded in 1980, the company was able to survive the challenges of the boat business until 2009; when the company went into voluntary receivership due to the Great Recession. In 2012, it was bought by a Gold Coast entrepreneur and lifelong boater named Rodney Longhurst, who set the company on a path to becoming one of the most outstanding boatbuilders on the planet. Because Longhurst was a boat owner (including Riviera boats), he brings a consumer/owner-centric focus to everything the company does.

Longhurst assembled a team of professional boat builders with years of experience in boat building and embracing best practices in everything they do. Its design, sales, customer service, and marketing staff are all top in the field and have deep ties to the brand and the company. The faces you see in this video are the same ones you have been seeing in Riviera Yachts boat show displays for the last 11 years. There is a reason for that.

One aspect of Riviera that sets it apart from most boatbuilders worldwide is its apprentice program, which currently involves about 100 young people. This program has been ongoing for years at Riviera and has created deep loyalty among its employees and a high retention rate.

 Enjoy the movie.

Riviera Yachts has been in business for 43 years and is going stronger than ever.
