Saxdor Yachts Partners w/MarineMax: Finnish Builder Started in 2020

The 320 is the Saxdor’s current flagship and measures 33’9” (10.28 m) with a 10’2” (3.18 m) beam.

Saxdor Yachts, an international boat builder with roots in Finland, has expanded in the United States by entering into a strategic partnership with MarineMax. Headquartered in Clearwater, FL, MarineMax is the largest recreational boat and yacht retailer in the world, with nearly 80 stores including 31 marinas or storage operations.

Mutual Respect

Since its launch in early 2020, Saxdor has grown steadily and is currently represented in more than 40 markets on five continents. The company was founded by marine-industry veteran Sakari Mattila who also was a Managing Partner of Axopar when it was launched in 2014. It has not gone unnoticed that there is a resemblance between the two brands. Saxdor has garnered honors including Best of Boat Award 2020, European Power Boat of the Year 2021 and Motor Boat Award 2021.

It was Mattila’s ambition to build an exciting generation of dayboats boats, combining modern styling with the very latest technology at an affordable price. The company has launched the Saxdor 200 and 320 in multiple deck designs. An extension of the model line to 40’ has been teased to be introduced in 2022 and 2023. To date, Saxdor has built more than 700 boats and the production is sold out for the next model year.

Consistent Growth

The 320 GTO includes the upgrade to a hardtop and a bowrider deck design.

To meet the growing demand for its products in the US market Saxdor has also entered into a production agreement with a shipyard in the United States.
