Scout Boats Experiences 115% Sales Increase at FLIBS

The 530 LXF was powered by quad 600-hp Mercury Verado V12s.

Scout Boats had its best Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show ever during the most recent edition of the event held the last week of October. The company had 10 boats — five of which were new models — on display.

“We’re extremely excited by our success at FLIBS,” said Scout CEO, owner and founder Steve Potts. “Our retail sales were up 115% over last year’s Lauderdale show, and what’s important to note is that last year’s FLIBS was also our best Lauderdale show at that time.

The Importance of New Models

The flagship of the 2021 FLIBS Scout display was the flagship 530 LXF that had a new deck configuration and cabin and she was powered by quad 600-hp Mercury Verado V12 outboards. The new 350 LXZ luxury crossover had lithium-ion battery power for on board electronics. The company also showed its new 277 Dorado dual-console, a new 240 XSF center console and 231 XSB bay boat.

The 350 LXZ is the first model in Scout’s luxury crossover series.

“With the current state of the industry, supply chain and lack of dealer inventories, it’s incredibly humbling to us here at Scout that people are not only excited about purchasing a new Scout model, but that they are willing to wait for our models for their number one choice of brand,” said Potts. “They could choose a second or third brand choice and potentially get another boat sooner, but customers are recognizing the worthwhile investment of being a Scout owner.”

The 277 Dorado is a new dual console that should appeal to families who enjoy myriad watersports.

Scout builds center- and dual-console models plus crossover and inshore/bay boats ranging from 17’ (5.18 m) to 53’ (16.15 m).

The 240 XSF brings Scout’s luxury features to a 24’ (7.32 m) center console.

The 231 XSB is the newest model in the company’s bay boat/inshore line.
