Sharrow Marine Launches OEM Prop Program for Boatbuilders

The Sharrow Marine loop prop can be seen here underwater in an actual commercial application.

This morning Sharrow Marine announced plans to roll out an exclusive OEM Sharrow Propeller™ Boatbuilder Program using their award-winning Sharrow Propellers™. The program includes a comprehensive development package for each boatbuilder that will provide them with custom-designed and custom-made Sharrow Propellers™ that enhance not just efficiency but also performance attributes that are most important to each boat builder, and even each model they build. This is good news for new boat buyers because it means the revolutionary Sharrow props will be available from participating builders.

Now boat builders will be able to tap into the considerable resources of the Sharrow Marine engineering team, which will use their proprietary design and simulation capability to optimize boat hull, motor, and propeller interactions to give each boatbuilder an advantage over their competition. Participating builders will receive an optimized set of Sharrow Propellers ™ as well as incentives for being in the program.

Performance Advantages

Proven performance advantages of Sharrow props include: attaining planing speed at lower RPM, lower fuel consumption and higher speeds at optimum cruise RPM ranges, and easier docking.

“You can have the best motor or boat in the world, but the propeller is ultimately the device that transfers engine power and torque to the water. If you’re using an off-the-shelf cookie-cutter propeller on your motors or vessels you are simply leaving a massive amount of performance on the table,” said Greg Sharrow, founder, and CEO of Sharrow Marine.

“The optimized boat/motor/propeller package is the holy grail for the marine industry and now with the launch of our new OEM Sharrow Propeller Boatbuilder Program, boat builders and engine makers can obtain it,” says Sharrow.

Competitive Advantages

“The simple fact is that boats with similar specs all perform about the same. But in 2022, there will be boats on the market that perform much better because they will be equipped with optimized Sharrow Propellers. For boat owners interested in peak performance and the latest technology, the Sharrow Propellers will offer a superior upgrade,” says Sharrow.
