Loon superyacht tender crash in the Caribbean

A chase boat belonging to the 67.5-meter superyacht Loon has crashed onto the rocks of Anse des Cayes Bay in Saint Barthélemy, the Caribbean. 

Six people have been injured out of the 11 American nationals on board, including one woman who was reportedly "ejected" from the boat on impact. She was due to be airlifted to a hospital in Miami this Sunday (22 December), with the other five treated at Iréne de Bruyn Hospital for minor injuries. 

Local reports claim around twenty firefighters were dispatched to the scene, with three ambulances also present.

The chase boat is named Reel Time and belongs to HCB Yachts' 53' Sueños RXV series. Highlights include a LOA of 16.2 meters, quad engines, a fully functional fishing platform and galley kitchen.

Authorities have confirmed that there is "no risk of pollution" and as such, the removal of the chase boat is not urgent. The identity of the driver is not confirmed.
