Sunseeker is developing the Predator 55 and the 55 Sport Yacht, which will build upon the naval architecture of the Superhawk 55 launched earlier this year. The upcoming yachts will be the entry models for the Predator and Sport Yacht series already featuring 65 and 75 models.

The Predator 55 has a retractable 3m by 2.5m glass and carbon-fibre sunroof integrated into the hardtop, while the 55 Sport Yacht has a sportbridge with a twin-seat helm and an aft L-shaped dinette with a table that can be lowered and covered to make a sunbathing area.

Otherwise, the CE Category A models are similar, with an overall length of 56ft 3in and a beam of 16ft 2in and distinguished from their predecessors by striking LED lighting. Both will feature twin 725hp Volvo Penta D13-IPS950 engines with a fully integrated pilot, engine data and navigation system, as well as an expected top speed of 35 knots. An optional gyro reduces rolling at anchor.

Andrea Frabetti, Sunseeker International’s CEO, said: “A completely new silhouette for the Predator has arrived in this new 55ft model. An aggressive profile shines with new styling cues never-before-seen in the range. Importantly, her driving dynamics remain true to the model’s heritage – she’s born to perform.

“We’re also thrilled to reveal the 55 Sport Yacht concept as part of our plan to offer the broadest range in this category. The 55 Sport Yacht opens a new dimension of space in this size category. The second helm on the sportsbridge offers that wind-in-the-hair feeling. It’s a dynamic yacht that offers a level of separation for morning to evening cruising.”

Common features include a tender garage capable of housing a Williams TurboJet 325 and storage for two Seabobs on the underside of the garage door. The hydraulic bathing platform lowers diagonally while the sunpad raises to reveal steps directly into the water and the tender on a rolling launch-and-recovery system.

The sunpad is equipped with adjustable headrest bolsters and built-in drinks holders, while the aft cockpit offers comfortable seating for up to six guests on aft and port sofas. Two symmetrical side decks lead to the foredeck, which features a sofa, large sun pad, ample storage and hidden anchoring hardware.

The main deck has an open, spacious saloon with a C-shaped sofa to port and a starboard galley with refrigeration, oven and hob with a high-level TV. Forward is a twin-seat saloon to starboard and storage to port.

The lower deck includes a full-beam master suite midships and an en-suite VIP with scissor berths in the bow, separated by a lower saloon to starboard and a storage room or optional utility room to port.

An alternative layout includes a larger galley below and more seating and a fall and rise TV in the aft end of the main-deck saloon. Another option between the two main cabins is a third en-suite guest cabin, with twin beds.
