Swan 108 Begins Sea Trials

Set to debut at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, the Swan 108 recently started sea trials in Finland.

The first Swan 108, which launched in Pietarsaari last month, recently began sea trials in the Gulf of Bothnia off Finland’s west coast. Nautor Swan said the results of her first sea trials “were extremely positive” and that the superyacht will be sailing in the Mediterranean waters in the coming weeks.

Featuring a hull length of 33m (108ft 3in) and an overall length of 35m (114ft 10in) with the bowsprit, the sailing superyacht will have its world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show from September 27-30.

Positioned between the Swan 98 and 120, the latest addition to the Swan Maxi line features exterior styling by Italian designer Lucio Micheletti of Micheletti + Partners, interior design by fellow Italian Misa Poggi and naval architecture by German Frers, the 82-year-old Argentine who has designed for Swan for over four decades.
