Tom Brady's New Yacht

Tom Brady will keep his new yacht at a marina in the St. Petersburg area.

NFL quarterback Tom Brady seems to be settling in with his new team and new state, Florida. He took delivery of a Wajer 55 S yacht. The yacht has been named Viva A Vida in honor of his supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen’s environmental initiative to plant more than 200,000 trees in the rain forest.

Dutch Built

The Wajer 55 S is manufactured in the northern Netherlands by Wajer Yachts, a builder of custom yachts and tenders. She measures 52’6” (16 m) long with a 14’5” (4.4) beam and she draws 4’2” (1.22 m). The 55S is powered by triple 435-hp Volvo Penta IPS 600 pods and has an estimated weight of 35,000 lbs. (17.5 tons) at half load. Top speed is estimated at 40 knots with an estimated range of 450 nautical miles at a cruise of 28 knots.

The Wajer 55 S is a day boat with a focus on watersports and enjoying the open air.

The 55 S was designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design. She has a center console protected by a hardtop. Just aft are opposing lounges around a table and on the stern, there’s a large aft-facing sunpad. Three steps lead down to the swim platform. There’s also a lounge on front of the helm console plus a smaller aft-facing seat in the bow. There’s storage for two sea scooters in the forward gunwales.

Belowdecks, there’s a private cabin in the bow plus two single berths aft and a private head.

The 55 S can sleep four and she has a garage for a tender in the stern.
