The 70' (21.33 m) foiling trimaran, Argo, reached on one tack nearly the whole length of the 635-mile course from Newport, RI, to Bermuda.
Jason Carroll of New York City and the eight-person crew of the MOD70, Argo, were first to finish the 52nd Bermuda Race in 33 hours, 9 seconds. Colin Golder, of New Providence, NJ, fell from his vessel in strong winds roughly 325 miles from Bermuda and was lost. Yamaha’s U.S. Marine Business Unit announced today a supply agreement between Yamaha Marine Precision Propellers (YPPI) and Sharrow Marine.
