Propulsion Systems

Volvo Penta Forward Drive:

A Modern, Efficient Drive System for

Wake Sports Boats

volvo-penta-drive-system.png

Because it can be trimmed, Volvo Penta's Forward Drive provides more versatile operation than an inboard.

Because Volvo Penta’s stainless-steel Forward Drive Duoprop propellers are forward-facing, and with no shaft and strut in front of them, they operate in undisturbed water for greater efficiency. Dual props keep the boat headed straight at low speeds, instead of side-walking. Unlike inboard props which face down in a fixed position, they can be pointed horizontally for greater forward thrust. Volvo Penta’s Silent Shift technology engages the drive seamlessly for silky smooth operation – which means the “clunk” is gone. Fall Virtual Boat Show:

57 Dual Consoles

On Display

vbs-dualconsoles.png

Virtually all of the finest names in dual console boat building are represented on the Dual Console docks of the Virtual Boat Show. Designed to be a fair compromise between family cruising and avid sportfishing, dual consoles have more utility than almost any small boat on the water. And, the larger ones have electric flush heads that will be welcomed by mom and the kids. The high windshields, hardtops, and optional cruising canvas make them comfortable 3-season boats.
