The American Tug 435 features iconic lines linking her to a workboat heritage, but she’s all about comfort and secure coastal cruising for recreational yachting families.

The primary stateroom has a beam-to-beam layout with generous storage and an ensuite head.

The guest stateroom has a Pullman queen with an optional additional bunk above and an additional ensuite head. 

The pilothouse offers excellent sight lines, generous spaces, a comfortable helm chair and passenger seating with access doors to port and starboard.

The salon features a large U-shaped galley, entertainment center, L-shaped settee and room for a floating lounge chair.

Standard equipment on this boat has been designed with the comfort and safety of a cruising couple in mind, including variable-speed bow and stern thrusters, an upper deck crane with hydraulic lift and rotation and an upper deck walk-through from the pilothouse in lieu of a vertical ladder.

She’s powered by a single, economical Cummins 550, and carries 500 gallons (1893 L) of fuel. At 8.4 knots she has a reported range of about 1070 NM.

Air draft on the Flybridge model varies with options, up to 22’8” with arch up. With the arch down it’s 18’3”. Mechanically hinging masts are available for those interested in Great Loop cruising.
