Boat Inspection
Packing the maximum amount of equipment and features into a cruising boat of this size meant carefully surveying all areas and finding where to save space. Before any mold was brought out, Aquador’s design and engineering team, headed by technical leader Klaus Lamminpää, made sure this boat would live up to the high bar already set by the 300HT. After an in-depth inspection and walkthrough, their success is obvious.
Stern & Transom
There is more to see and discover on the 250HT than first meets the eye. The stern, for example, features dual access to the cockpit area and walkaround decks to and from the bow. Note the use of sturdy stainless grab rails wherever necessary.
A four-fender storage compartment is in the transom. The decks here, and throughout the boat, are made of EcoDeck teak, a blend of repurposed plastic and teak sawdust. The result is a soft feel underfoot, no chance of fading, easy maintenance and a sustainable method as part of the company’s care for the environment.
Cockpit & Helm
Space is maximized in the cockpit to allow for easy flow to and from the swim platform and the helm. It also provides effortless and safe access to the cabins below deck.
Accommodations
As we have discovered, Aquador has mastered the art of providing space aboard their boats and with the 250 HT, they have delivered the kind of comfort and convenience not usually found on a boat of her size.
Hardtop & Bow
The hardtop serves several functions. It eliminates the need for a Bimini and with its large, manually-sliding sky roofs over the helm, allows fresh air and light to enter. Aquador has equipped them with shades, this to protect from the sun on those days when it is needed. In addition, with the hardtop extending all the way aft, the cockpit is covered as well.
Summary
With its extended hardtop, thus the designation HT, walkaround decks, more than adequate entertaining and storage space, this pocket-sized cruiser is the perfect size, entry level boat for an adventurous couple, and perhaps their young family, to embark on easy going and exciting days out on the water. In addition, with a pair of comfortable cabins, overnight or extended time away from the home dock is well within reach aboard the Aquador 250 HT.
As a member of the successful and well-established Nimbus Marine Group, Aquador has utilized only the latest technologies in both safety and construction to give its owners a sense of satisfaction in their ownership of a well-crafted, well-built boat. While the Aquador 250 HT joins her 300 HT big sister, you can rest assure a big brother is on the way, showing the company’s commitment to providing a full line up of family-oriented cruising boats.
The Aquador 250 HT is designed and engineered to make use of all available space. To that end, should a boat like this be up on your radar screen, make sure you reserve the time to do a walk through and get your hands on the wheel for a sea trial. It will be well worth your time.
Remember, life is better on a boat!
