Overview
Coral Yachts, a family-run shipyard in Poland, recently released the 55 RAV. Captain Greg explained the model designation: "The RAV stands for Reliability, Adaptability, and Versatility, which this yacht has in spades." He characterized her intended use as: "Equally suited for living aboard, long-distance cruising, or entertaining."
Hull Type / Performance Profile
Described as a fast displacement trawler, built for cruising at 7–8 knots, capable of speeds up to 12 knots. Captain Greg's assessment of her range: "Her range is amazing for a 55-foot yacht, with the ability to cover 4,000 nautical miles with a 15% fuel reserve."

Hull Design
- Bow: Cutting design intended to slice through waves; positioned over 10 feet above the waterline

Hull Construction
Constructed of GRP (glass-reinforced plastic). The first four layers are wet-laid with vinyl ester resin; remaining layers use a polyester resin infusion method. All joints are laminated. Partition walls and framing use the same construction method, stated to provide additional strength throughout the vessel.
Safety structure: A double collision bulkhead is fitted in the bow.
Pilot House
Captain Greg's assessment: "Her pilot house is worthy of a super yacht in both feel and systems. The helm station is a place where captain and crew can be comfortable and fully in command for thousands of miles of cruising."

Two additional helm stations are located on the Portuguese Bridge, bringing the total number of control stations on the boat to (per the description) at least three: pilot house, flying bridge, and Portuguese Bridge.
