Grand Banks 62
The newly announced Grand Banks 62 model builds on the success of the hugely popular Grand Banks 60, launched in 2017.
Most noticeable, the additional interior volume of the GB62 allows for an enlarged starboard guest stateroom with an athwartships double bed and a single, as well as a utility area that incorporates the standard washer/dryer.
With the additional length, Grand Banks added an ensuite head for this starboard guest cabin, creating a comfortable and luxurious three-stateroom, three-head layout to maximize cruising comfort.
The Grand Banks 62 is available in Flybridge and Skylounge models.
Both models offer a 19’2” beam, providing a wide range of customizable layout configurations, including your choice of three or four staterooms and options for separate up and down galleys. The Grand Banks 62 Skylounge model incorporates a dedicated living space.
The extended bridge overhang creates a storage space for a standard AB Inflatable RIB.
All Grand Banks Yachts models are built using the company’s proprietary V-WARP® Technology, a design and construction philosophy born out of CEO and Chief Designer Mark Richards’ experience as an ocean-racing champion and shipwright. This technology is a combination of hull form, quality construction materials and a precision build process.
Featuring a fine entry, graceful curvature amidships, and minimal dead rise at the transom, this hull minimizes drag while enhancing buoyancy, stability, and lift. Unlike traditional planing hulls that need significant energy and trim adjustments, the V-WARP® Technology hull maintains a consistent five-degree running angle at various speeds.
It emphasizes optimal weight distribution and a clean running surface for exceptional speed and efficiency. Per the company, it delivers a smoother, more efficient ride with minimal energy to reach planing speeds.
The hull is built and infused with a carefully monitored resin-to-E-Glass unidirectional and multi-axial fiber ratio, resulting in a strong, fast, and efficient hull form. The hull is then fused directly to the lightweight carbon fiber structure, bulkheads, deck, and superstructure of the vessel. This contributes to enhancing the overall performance of the yacht.
The warped, semi-displacement hull form reduces drag while enhancing buoyancy, stability, and lift, allowing the boat to reach planing speed with minimal energy. Extensive use of carbon fiber significantly reduces weight while maintaining exceptional strength, ensuring extreme rigidity. Per the company, this combination enables V-WARP® Technology to deliver speed and performance, using less fuel compared to most similar-sized boats.
The amidships master stateroom is designed for the ultimate in liveaboard comfort with a king bed, en suite head with large shower, abundant storage, and streams of natural light and fresh breezes through the ports and overhead hatch. Forward, the VIP stateroom is outfitted with a queen berth, abundant storage for extended cruising, and a dedicated head.
On the main deck, large opening windows bathe the saloon, helm area, and aft galley in natural light. The line of sight from the lower helm and the companion helm to port allow easy handling in inclement weather or during a night passage. Like all Grand Banks models that came before her, the GB62 reveals the company’s hallmark craftsmanship, complemented by an enhanced level of sophistication and elegance.
Several interior accommodations plans are available, including a Skylounge model, which has proven to be very popular on the company’s Grand Banks 85. Regardless of the layout chosen, Grand Banks works with each owner to ensure their Grand Banks directly reflects their experience, taste, and individual needs.
