Hatteras 90 Motor Yacht (2016-)
Brief Summary
Having been announced at the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, and currently under construction, the new Hatteras 90 Motor Yacht is designed to be consistent with the 100 Raised Pilothouse and the 70 Motor Yacht.
The new 90 Motor Yacht benefits from resin-infused fiberglass technology in order to provide a substantial strength-to-weight ratio. Having a similar hull design to that of the aforementioned 100 and 70, with deep hull tunnels that maintain the draft just under 5’ (1.52 m), the 90 Motor Yacht, at 265,000 lbs. (120,200 kg), can be equipped with Caterpillar or MTU diesel engines that range individually in horsepower from 1600-hp to 1920-hp, with a fuel capacity of 3,790 gallons (14,346 L).
Construction of the first yacht in the class is underway at the Hatteras' facility in New Bern, North Carolina, and she will make her debut at the February 2017 Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show.
