Jeanneau EX 34 Hardtop (2026-)

2 x 350-hp CV

Brief Summary

Jeanneau unveils EX, a new range of motorboats that embraces the philosophy of essentials. The EX 34, first of its kind, will have its world premiere at CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL,, in Hardtop version. A range that enriches the brand’s universe alongside Cap Camarat1, Merry Fisher2, TH and DB Yachts.

With EX, Jeanneau opens a new chapter. As always, each range from the shipyard reflects a way of navigating; EX – pronounced «E-X» – explores a territory still largely untapped: that of serene discovery, in all seasons, freed from the superfluous.

EX, Ready When You Are.

EX stands for Elements and Crossplatform. The name says it all: a boat designed around a direct connection with the sea and the outdoors, built on a versatile platform that adapts to different ways of using and enjoying the water, capable of taking on all seas and all seasons, and extending the pure experience of being on the water throughout the year.  One conviction guides the range: focus on what really matters, and eliminate what complicates, to offer a boat that is clear, intuitive and reassuring.

Jeanneau EX Range

The EX 34, first of its kind, will have its world premiere at CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL, from September 8 to 13, 2026

A Range That Expands Jeanneau's Horizons

EX is not a derivative. It is a complete range, equipped with its own deep-V hull, specifically designed for this project. Where Cap Camarat1 cultivates pleasure and sportiness, where Merry Fisher2 champions livability and versatility, where TH opens a new vision of space in motor catamaran, and where DB Yachts embodies the art of premium day-boating, EX carves out a
complementary path: that of a boat focused on real-world use, which concentrates its qualities on what truly serves and dispensable with everything else.

This approach speaks to a wide audience. To experienced sailors who know exactly what they want, of course. But also, and this is new, to those discovering the sea and wanting to satisfy a hunger for open air without being intimidated: the EX is immediately understood, handled without apprehension, and invites you to set sail from day one. For these thoughtful explorers,
confidence matters more than adrenaline, and discovery more than pure performance.

A Simple Promise: Pleasant To Live With, East To Share

EX is built on a clear idea: a boat that is immediately understood, economical in use, and whose qualities will endure over time. A standard configuration designed for navigation, options organized by use rather than in endless lists, and this guiding principle: an enriched version with options is never a downgraded version. All at a price point designed to remain accessible.

EX 34: The First Of The Range, In Two Models

The EX 34 measures just under ten meters, with a 3.2-metre beam, and combines a compact and lightweight deep-V hull with twin outboard engines delivering strong, confident performance. Built on the same deck platform, it comes in two versions, each offering a different way to experience the EX concept.

EX 34 Hardtop - Maximum Contact With Nature

The EX 34 Hardtop is the most open expression of the EX concept, designed to maximize contact with the sea and the surrounding environment.

  • An open and versatile aft cockpit centered around a generous sunpad, creating a natural space to relax, enjoy the sun and stay close to the water.
  • A quick-deploy soft enclosure providing shelter when conditions change, while preserving the open-air character of the boat.

EX 34 Cabin - Maximum Comfort

The EX 34 Cabin brings the same versatile platform into a fully protected environment, designed to maximize comfort while maintaining a strong connection with the outside.

  • A fully glazed rigid wheelhouse with a large sliding bay window, combining protection, visibility and natural light.
  • Climate-controlled comfort, with air conditioning or heating available on the rigid enclosure, extending use across a wider range of seasons and climates.
  • A convertible helm station, transforming into a comfortable interior lounge while remaining connected to the sea and surroundings.

One Platform, Many Possibilities

Both versions share the same five-space architecture: aft platforms, aft cockpit, central saloon, helm station and forward lounge.

At the center, a convertible saloon with an integrated galley, fully sheltered beneath the generous roof, provides a versatile space for preparing meals, dining and relaxing.

Below deck, two cabins and a separate head provide genuine overnight capability on both versions. From fast coastal runs and swimming stops to time at anchor, entertaining friends or carrying leisure equipment, the EX 34 adapts to the way each day unfolds.

Ready when you are.

The EX 34 Hardtop will be presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival from September 8 to 13, 2026.

Captain's Report - EX 34 Hardtop (2026-)

Walkthrough Video Transcript

Overview

Captain Boomies of BoatTEST walked through the Jeanneau EX34. Her opening assessment: “Personally, I know the Jeanneau brand best for sailing yachts. And what I’ve always felt about those sailing yachts is that they really understood how to make a space feel very social, very livable, and they’ve nailed it on this one.”

Swim Platform

Captain Boomies: “It’s not your traditional swim platform, but they’ve made it obvious that they want you to spend time in the water.”

Features:

  • Grab rails
  • Ladders
  • Showers
  • A handhold that doubles as the tow bar

Captain Boomies: “So you’re going to be doing water sports on something like this.”

Aft Cockpit Seating

Captain Boomies on the cockpit, which she called “the hub of socializing and entertaining”: “Every one of these seats is very plush. They are styled out, which adds this level of you’re not just dealing with something stark. You are genuinely trying to bring people in and make them comfortable.”

Features:

  • Pedestal inserts for a dining table
  • Seating that folds out into a large sun lounger

Sun Protection

Captain Boomies said the builder told her the goal of the boat “was actually to provide maximum sun protection.” The boat has a wide overhead and an additional sunshade that is set up by hand.

Galley

Captain Boomies: “I’m calling this a galley even though it’s more of a summer kitchen because they’ve left this all so open.”

Features:

  • Small cooktop
  • Sink
  • Refrigeration
  • Storage, which she described as “much larger than I was expecting”
  • A silverware drawer. Captain Boomies: “Oh, and I love a good drawer for silverware. It’s surprising how hard that is to find on a boat sometimes.”

Second Table Option

Captain Boomies: “I like that they’ve given me the option for a second table as well, because when it’s particularly hot out in the morning sunlight, you’re going to want to have options for where you’re hiding from the sun.”

Co-Pilot Seating

The co-pilot seat is a full bench. Captain Boomies: “Now, I really like that they’ve done a full bench, so you and somebody you really like to sit close to can hang out.” From the bench, the co-pilot has views forward, control of the stereo, and access to drinks.

Sunroof

The sunroof is push-button operated and can be opened from the co-pilot side. Captain Boomies: “Oh, that’s a satisfying little button there.”

Helm Seat

The helm seat has a bolster, so the operator can brace against it. It can also be switched around and lowered hydraulically to join the dining area. Captain Boomies: “You’re not just stuck as some poor captain.”

Helm

Captain Boomies: “I really respect a designer that knows that the captain does need cup holders, and I’m getting two of them here.”

MFD: low profile. Captain Boomies: “We’re using the long skinny boy here, and so my visibility is completely unimpeded.”

Engine controls: The test boat had a Yamaha throttle body, which Captain Boomies said could be swapped for a Mercury.

Steering wheel: leather-wrapped. Captain Boomies said it “just feels nice.”

Side Decks

The decks have diamond non-skid. Captain Boomies: “Let me tell you, this makes life so much safer on board.” With the enclosures closed, the whole interior is protected from the elements.

Grab rails line the walk forward. Captain Boomies: “I am noticing that I’m automatically grabbing at these grab rails. It puts me in the right position so that if I’m moving forward and it’s a little rocky out, I’m still going to be okay. I’m going to be safe.”

Bow Seating

Captain Boomies called the bow “another fabulous entertaining space,” adding: “I would love to sit here at anchor with a cocktail. So much room.”

Anchor Locker

Captain Boomies: “Speaking of anchoring, I’ve never seen such a comfortable place to manage your anchor from.” The anchor hatch has a cushion on it and opens with the cushion still in place. Captain Boomies: “That was well done. Good job.”

Windows in the bow deck look down into the cabin.

Forward Cabin

Captain Boomies: “There’s a lot of great natural light down here. Certainly is a lot of room for two adults to be able to lay and sleep.”

The forward cabin has ventilation through the overhead hatch, which is also its main light source. Captain Boomies on the light: “Actually, that’s pretty good.”

The boat has two berths. Captain Boomies: “I’m surprised to find out that they did make this two berths. This one is a proper cabin with a door that closes.”

Second Berth

Captain Boomies: “After a long day of entertaining, I could definitely get my Zs in here.” There is a port light for airflow.

Head

Captain Boomies checked the space by asking, “Can I shampoo while I’m in here?” and answered herself, “Yeah, okay.”

She said the layout was a good design choice: “One thing that I think was a good design choice is how they pushed this all the way back.” A dock kit was set in place to show the storage. Captain Boomies: “So all of your personal effects have a place to be.”

On the mirror: “While I would like a bigger mirror, I understand that the constraints of this space would make that pretty difficult. So I think I would put a mirror on the back of this door personally.”

Battery Switches

Captain Boomies: “I didn’t even realize that these are battery switches because they’re just so attractive. Love that.”

Fenders

The boat has custom fenders with stowage. Captain Boomies: “I don’t know where I would put other types of fenders on board if I didn’t have these.”

Each fender has a softer side and a harder, more durable side. Captain Boomies: “Soft side to the hull, durable side to the mean old dock. I like that.”

Boarding Step

A step on the far side of the table is for boarding and exiting when that side is against the dock. Captain Boomies on the step: “That’s good woodworking... That’s a really nice tropical wood.”

Styling

Captain Boomies: “They’ve certainly nailed it on extra details of styling.”

Closing Assessment

Captain Boomies: “Everybody loves a friend with a boat, and I love entertaining my friends on board. This boat is designed exactly for that.”
