Nordhavn 78 (2010-)

Brief Summary

Nordhavn certainly thinks out of the box when it comes the yacht designs. Last year it introduced a 56’ motorsailer and a 75’ ocean-going sportfisherman. This year, Nordhavn is back to its bread-and-butter motoryacht cruising concept, but with a design that looks more Italian than the boxy, angular, reverse windshield North Sea commercial vessel-look that we have gotten so used to over the years. Nordhavn says that their new 78 “will serve to fulfill the needs of the class of boater who wants the proven ocean-crossing capabilities of a Nordhavn combined with the sleek lines comprised by typical European-style yachts.” The first hull is scheduled to launch in early 2011.
