Boat Inspection

The 590 Pilothouse is the current flagship of North Pacific’s offerings. A blend of modern and classic lines, she packs a lot of interior space in her 61’3” length overall combined with an impressive beam of 18’4”. From bow to stern, top deck to entertainment and living accommodations, to engine room and everywhere in between, she is equipped with just about anything one could ask for in a long-range cruising yacht.

Bow

The impressive outfitting of the North Pacific 590 Pilothouse begins at the bow where we find a significant piece of equipment in the Lofrans Ercole Titan B windlass with 280’ of ½” galvanized chain. Then there is the flawless #316L stainless bow railing, highly polished with no visible welds, that is bolted to the deck. And point taken, no matter where any exterior fitting was installed, it is of the best quality and made for a safe and secure mounting.

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse Portuguese bridge

Another big boat feature found aboard is the Portuguese bridge, accessed from the starboard main deck via a robust pantographic door. Extra seating is supplied by a bench seat to take in the passing vistas along with a table for light dining. Note the doors to either side and the stainless grabrail surrounding the area.

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse teak-soled walkway

The single, teak-soled walkway to starboard, from bow to stern, is wide and deep and offers sturdy outboard rails for safe passage while underway, at anchor, or in the dock. Note the side boarding door armed with formidable hardware.

Main Deck Aft

While she has a starboard boarding door near amidships, easy on and off is accomplished via the large swim platform, taking either teak-topped staircases to the aft portion of the main deck.

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse overhead space

Protected by the overhead, this space offers transom bench seating and a dining table for those al fresco opportunities. The door, located in the middle of the aft bulkhead leads to the crew quarters/4th stateroom and engine room.

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse aft door

Easy to open and close, the aft door uses heavy duty hinges and mechanisms for access.

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse overhead shade

Anchored in the right direction affords overhead shade while relaxing or dining at the aft deck table. Note the heavy duty table hardware, fittings, and stainless rail leading up to the top deck.

Main Deck Salon, Galley, Dinette

The North Pacific interior design team ensured the 590 Pilothouse was outfitted to suit each owner’s taste in layout and décor. The result is a variety of possibilities, unique in their own way.

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse wood and lighting

Here, the use of wood with a lighter hue combines with the deck, area rug, and overhead, and surrounded by large windows letting in plenty of ambient light, results in an airy and open feel. A variety of wood colors and tones, and décor, is available.

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse console

In creating this console, and its overall dramatic effect, the design team used white materials and wood trim to create a 'living picture frame' of the outside environment.

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse port galley entrance

Entrance to the port galley is up these two steps and shows off the ability of North Pacific to create beautiful interiors.

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse galley

The fully-found galley offers top level, house-size appliances, in addition to the kind of abundant storage spaces necessary to create anything from a casual snack to a sumptuous dining experience.

Upper Deck & Pilothouse

One of the places North Pacific paid special attention to is gaining safe and easy access to the upper deck and pilothouse. With two entrance areas, one aft from the deck and the other from inside, and as everywhere aboard this yacht, they are approached with a functional design which results in a stylish and practical addition to these important spaces.

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse aft deck topside

Once topsides, the aft deck portion offers a dining table, L-shape seating, and enough deck space for extra chairs or a davit and tender should that be a priority. Note the stainless-framed, smoked glass sliding door to and from the pilothouse and the extended overhang from the rooftop.

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse area

The Pilothouse is yet another area that is as comfortable for gathering as it is outfitted for driving. With large windows all around, and a pair of pedestal seats forward and L-shape seating with adjoining table, this area is sure to be favorite while underway. The helm is well laid out with all the requisite electronics, control, and monitoring systems.

Staterooms

Comfort abounds aboard the North Pacific 590 and nowhere is that more evident than in the living accommodations. With abundant headroom throughout and plentiful storage space allotted to her profile of spending lots of time traveling, her wayfaring ways will have her owners, their families, friends, and guests moving about in comfort.

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse staircase from the salon

Making a dramatic entrance below decks becomes a work of art via the staircase leading from the salon. Flawless woodwork combines with just the right curves and angles to create an exciting access to the master stateroom.

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse VIP

The forepeak VIP offers a walk-around, queen berth and what is a signature note found everywhere aboard, fine woodwork, attention to detail, and generous storage.

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse guest quarters with pullman

The guest quarters also offers a pullman berth as well.

Engine Room

North Pacific 59' Pilothouse space from swim platform to engine room

The space from the swim platform to the engine room is well-lit and easy to get to.

Once inside, the hands-on captain, or owner-operator, will find wide open spaces for all critical maintenance items without any knuckle-busting or elbow-smacking while doing the job.
