First Look
French builder Jeanneau launched the Prestige line in 1989, and the “F” or Flybridge Line got started a year later. Prestige became a standalone brand in 2010 and has not looked back.
The F4.9 introduced just last year marked the birth of the 3rd generation of the F-Line. This award-winning model introduces desirable features such as the aft Oceanview galley and the semi-main deck master suite, as well as the versatile flybridge.
Designed by Garroni Design, the F4.9 heralds the design of future models of the F-Line, per the company. The hull is by Michael Peters, featuring a higher, fuller bow than many in class to add seaworthiness as well as greater interior volume for the master suite.
The open flybridge offers low top hamper for easy bridge passage, but can be sheltered by an optional Bimini or hardtop. The company makes use of renewable resources where ever possible in the build, including the decking.
The galley opens to the aft deck to make entertaining easy and keep the chef in the conversation. Interiors feature natural stone counter tops, sculpted wood finishes and eco-friendly fabrics both in the saloon and the staterooms.
The flying bridge can provide an intimate getaway or a welcoming venue for multiple guests depending on the occasion. Note the see-through safety door which can be lowered over the stairway.
The extended overhead can provide shade for the aft table, which can be lowered to become part of a large sunlounge. The powered swim platform is large enough to carry a tender with ease.
A forward Bimini and lounge add even more sunning space as well as a bit of privacy when desired.
Secure walkways and high railings allow safe, easy bow access at anchor or underway. Note the pantographic windshield wipers. The cushions can be removed to allow light and air into the master suite, below.
The upper helm as well as the lower is equipped with a joystick to control the Volvo-Penta IPS drives as well as thruster controls and full size MFD’s to monitor all systems aboard.
The forward owners suite has over 6’ headroom, and natural light enters both through hullside windows and an overhead portlight. There are two other doubles aft.
Power is twin Volvo-Penta IPS650 with 480 hp each, which the company reports will give a 21-knot cruising speed and 28-knot top speed.
