To find out the state of the lithium-ion battery industry, which is key to the rapidly developing field of electric propulsion for boats, BoatTEST’s Jeff Hammond interviewed three lithium-ion battery builders at the METSTRADE show last November in Amsterdam. Jeff talked with two different battery manufacturers located in the Netherlands and one in Israel. All agreed that the light-weight, high-tech batteries are the wave of the future in powering many categories of recreational boats.
