Lowrance has unveiled its most powerful Elite series fishfinder/chartplotter, the Elite FS. The latest model in the company’s Elite Fishing System combines a full complement of fishfinding tools with a display that’s easier to use and install.
From new ActiveTarget Live Sonar and Active Imaging with Lowrance CHIRP sonar, SideScan and DownScan Imaging to pre-loaded C-MAP Contour + Fishing Maps, Elite FS offers anglers with a plethora of tools to help them find fish.
On the screen, a fisherman can watch high-resolution images of fish movements and track them with ActiveTarget Live Sonar. This lets a user see how of the fish are presented in structure and how they respond to lure or bait presentation. With this view, an angler knows if the current fishing technique is working or if he/she needs to take a different approach. Lowrance says this is information that traditional sonar or structure imaging can’t deliver.
High-resolution C-Map Contour + inland and coastal charts are pre-loaded into the Elite FS. They let anglers find key fishing areas such as ledges, drop-offs and ditches and navigate with precision to fish-holding areas. Users can acquire data on more than 8,900 U.S. lakes as well as thousands of Canadian lakes, too.
Active Imaging 3-in-1 sonar features CHIRP, SideScan and DownScan imaging with FishReveal, a Lowrance exclusive that helps anglers recognize structure and cover on detailed DownScan images.
Elite FS displays include networking capability with Ethernet and NMEA 2000 connectivity. They have integrated wireless compatibility so an angler can create a system for the way he/she fishes. Add HALO Dome Radar, Outboard Pilot or share sonar, charting, waypoints and other user data among multiple displays using Ethernet.
The displays are available in 7” (17.78cm) and 9” (22.86 cm) displays in a variety of models with and without active imaging, as well as ActiveTarget Live Sonar transducers. See below for a pricing breakdown.
