New Everglades 32' Express Cruiser

From the father and son team that has brought to the
world’s boaters center consoles that don’t sink no matter how large they are, comes
an express fishboat. Like the company’s smaller boats, Everglades assures us that
their new express is also unsinkable. There are many important features – the hallmark
of Dougherty designs -- which we’ll describe in the jump, but if you are in the
market for an outboard powered express fishboat we suggest that you look at this
boat.

Everglades’ new 320 is their first express fishboat

and they say more are to follow.

We were struck by the care Everglades took to make sure that visibility from the
fully adjustable premium helm seat was maximized. The cabin can be fully enclosed
so if weather turns snotty you’ll be snug. She’s powered by twin Yamaha 350s. She
has a standard Westerbeke gas generator which is CO-Safe, the only kind the safety-conscious
and responsible Doughertys would install. This powers the A/C system which has nine
vents on the bridge.

Passenger seating on the bridge is to port, facing the skipper and the seats are
high so everyone can see out. There are three powered vents in the windshield for
those
days when you don’t what to run the A/C.

Below Deck --

Down below, there is 6-foot-4-inches of standing headroom in the main cabin, an
enclosed head with wet shower, galley with single burner stove, combination microwave/coffee
maker and a mid-cabin bunk for overnight voyages or a nap during lulls in the fishing
action. The forward area has been made into a nice round settee for lunch (candlelight
dinner?) and makes into a bunk if you want.

Serious anglers will appreciate the 69 sq ft. cockpit and the bait-rigging station,
complete with cutting board, tackle storage and sink. Transom fish box and live
well handle your bait and your catch. Under gunwale storage and the large steps
to port and starboard walkways complete the cockpit.

Other items of standard equipment that caught our eye were:

*10 Year hull warranty

*10” pull up cleats (larger than on most boats this size)

*Automatic anchor windlass

*Vinylester barrier coat

*Teak and holly cabin sole

*Windshield defroster (This can be hugely important!)

*Lighted grab rail in cockpit

*Large cockpit drains

*290 gallon fuel tank
