BoatTEST Videos Now on BoatTrader.com

BoatTEST.com videos now appear on
over 7,500 classified powerboat listings on BoatTrader.com, the world’s largest
classified boat listing website. These listings are part of a one-month trial on
the listings of just 15% of the website’s 3400 dealer-advertisers. When the program
is rolled out to all of BoatTrader’s dealer-advertisers, as many as 51,000 – or
about one-third – of all of the website’s classified listings could have BoatTEST
video tests and reviews. This follows by two months the introduction of BoatTEST
videos on Europe’s leading classified boating website, BoatShop24.com.

Over 1,000 BoatTEST video tests and reviews
now appear on BoatTrader.com on both new and used boat listings for sistership classifieds.



Boat Trader, a division of Dominion Enterprises, announced on Jan. 5th that it is
partnering with BoatTEST.com, LLC, the world’s leading producer of third-party tests
and video reviews of boats, engines, and equipment. Marine dealers using Boat Trader’s
network will be able to display tests and reviews of sisterships for which they
have classified listings.


Videos Help Trader’s Dealers…



“Video marketing is not the sales solution of tomorrow – it is the sales solution
of today,” said David Bingham, sales development manager for Boat Trader. “Our beta
test overwhelmingly showed that these third-party videos drive more visitors to
dealer web pages than ads without video,” he said.



Dealers participating in Boat Trader’s beta test of the videos increased visits
to their Boat Trader dealer gallery by 35%, generated 17% more sales leads, and
saw an average of a 91% increase in overall inventory views than classifieds without
the videos in the control sample, said a recent BoatTrader.com press release.

Videos are Powerful Tools…



These findings coincide with those of the Online Publishers Association in 2008
which showed that after viewing video ads 31% of the consumers visited the companies’
websites and 16% of the consumers made a purchase.



“Partnering with Boat Trader to support the dealer base was a natural evolution
for us,” said Chris Hughes, chief operating officer of BoatTEST.com. “Dealers such
as Scott Mitchell at Boardwalk Marine tell us that our content ‘is the best sales
tool’ they have. To partner with Boat Trader to provide a complete package helps
everyone,” Hughes said.

BOATSHOP24.com in Europe Uses BoatTEST Videos

 

The largest boating classified website in Europe – BOATSHOP24.com -- began broadcasting
BoatTEST videos of its classified sisterships in November, 2008. The videos add
an exciting and informative element to their classified listings and many dealers
feel that these informative videos help their retail sales.
