Sessa 24 CC Not for Fishing
There are no live baitwells, fish
boxes, re-circulating tanks, rocket launchers or rod holders here. Just beautiful
curves and hormones in the gel coat. Sessa is a leading Italian powerboat builder,
has a full line of boats, and we think many of them are the most exciting things
on the water. Today we bring you a photo gallery of their Key Largo 24 center console
which has practically no fishability, but fishermen of a different sort will love
it…and so will mermaids.
Built in Italy by Sessa, this Key Largo 24 was not made for fishing, but if you own one you’ll likely get quite a catch. |
We love the Italians. They specialize in enjoying life and thanks to their genetic
sense of style, grace and proportion they have driven powerboat design around the
world for the last 20 years. Until the last decade or so, Italian yachtsmen wouldn’t
think of picking up a fishing pole – fishing is for the poor people! – but now they
are beginning to get into the sport of it, both offshore in the Med and fresh water
bass fishing. (Yes, bass fishing, can you believe it!)
The Sessa Key Largo 24 is 22’5” LOA, with an 8’4” beam and displaces 1,218 lbs with
the 250-hp outboard engine. In order to describe the boat, we quote from the Sessa
website—
“Key Largo 24 is a small but complete and fast boat which wants to get itself noticed;
partly thanks to the new color schemes for the hull, breaking the ‘nautical’ clichés
with our new coral, ochre and bronze liveries. Key Largo 24 is trailer transportable
and just right for wide open spaces and imaginative solutions, continuing and improving
the levels of comfort and habitability of the preceding Key Largo vessels; it is
enough to see the spacious sun-deck at the prow, complemented with a chaise longue
in the cockpit area and a set of cushions with closed cells.”
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. Clearly, this is a boat that needs a
babe to go with it. And if you have seen the beautifully bronzed women along the
Italian Riveria or in places like Porto Cervo you’ll know what we mean. Take a
look at the photo galley below and let your imagination run wild.
