Boardwalk Marina Has Factory-Backed Deals

Every now and then we run across a
marina that we think deserves some special attention. If you boat along the north
shore of Long Island Sound, are looking for a new or non-current Formula or Fountain,
or a used boat, then you should know about the Boardwalk Marina in Stratford, CT.
They are a full service marina and have 197 slips. They have priced their slips
right and as a result only 9 are left unrented. If you need repairs, they have a
shop that will do gel coat and fiberglass work, and they are well known for “short
haul outs” for bottom paint and quick fixes.

The Boardwalk Marina is a
full service operation in protected water just three miles up the Housatonic River,
east of Bridgeport. The management and staff are friendly there.

Boardwalk Marina is a dealer for Formula and Fountain powerboats. Sales manager
Scott (aka Tuna) Mitchell tells us that he has a number of new and non-current Formulas
and Fountains with factory-backed special deals. He says they are the best he has
ever seen. He also has a wide selection of used boats in their three acre yard and
in the water for sale from a 17’ Pro-Line CC, to a 55’ Ocean Yacht convertible.
Scott tells us, the owners of many of the boats are seriously motivated.

On the service side, Boardwalk has one of the longest certified techs in the Long
Island Sound area, we’re told. It has a 50 ton travel lift so if you need bottom
paint, repairs to your running gear, or would just like to haul your boat for the
summer, this is the place. As you can see, the docks are new and modern and they
are equipped with cable TV, water and electric for every slip. On shore there are
nice bath facilities and well as washers and dryers.



The service shop is fully certified for Mercury work, and they also can work on
Volvo Penta engines and Yamahas.

If you are on your way up or down the Sound, why not stop in for lunch at their
large restaurant overlooking the water? We’re told it is one of the best seafood
restaurants in the area, and with reasonable prices as well.
