From a Yamaha Watercraft Press Release--
“There are a lot of people in the race community talking about the FZR and its
capabilities on the closed course,” said Amy Green. “The combination of power,
reliability and an awesome hull design, make the FZR the machine of choice for serious racers. This National Title should help amplify the noise about this watercraft.”
“Amy’s National Title proves once and again that the FZR is the ultimate closed course race boat and 2009 was only its first year of production,” said Scott Watkins, Yamaha’s product development manager. “The potential is endless for the FZR.
“With its 1812cc supercharged powerplant, racers can get incredibly high horsepower and maintain a level of reliability that gives the racer the confidence to finish the race. We’re starting to see the aftermarket finalize new performance parts, and as those hit the scene, we’ll truly see how revolutionary this watercraft will be.”
