Warren’s 77 & 87 Molds Sold to Mustang
The world-wide Great Recession continues to re-shuffle the boat building deck of cards. Warren Yachts of Brisbane, Australia recently sold the molds of its 77’ and 87’ express motoryachts to Mustang Marine in Gold Coast, Queensland. Started by Dave Warren in the early 1980s, the company was sold to Shipworks Group in 2003 and it stepped out on the world’s yachting stage. Mustang builds 12 models from 28’ to 56’ and these two new boats will help fill out the company’s line.

Australian powerboat manufacturer Mustang Marine has revealed that it has recently purchased the molds of Warren Yachts' 77ft and 87ft models — the S77 and S87 Sport Yachts. The molds will allow Mustang to apply the European styling found in its existing range to larger vessels.
Mustang is also planning to expand its range of smaller boats, with design work underway to release an entry-level cruising range in 2010.
Based on Queensland's Gold Coast, Mustang Marine has more than 35 years' experience building sports cruiser, flybridge and coupé powerboats. The range is exported throughout the world.
