New York State Requires PFDs In the Winter
New York has become the first state to require life jackets to be worn on vessels up to 21 feet during the coldest months of the year. Will other states follow? How about Alaska? The penalty if caught without a life vest between Nov. 1st and May 1st on a small boat is $100, and you can not pass Go.
