Regal Makes Boat Research Easier in a “No Sales” Showroom!

On Saturday, March 20th, Regal Marine will have the Grand Opening of its new and exciting Factory Showroom for consumers in Orlando, Florida. All 26 current models will be there on display and for inspection six days a week. It is like a Regal Boat Show 12 months a year! Except that boat sales transactions will not be done there! This marketing innovation is a response to the changing marine retail environment that makes it difficult for all dealers to have all of its models in stock all of the time. Consumers from all over the country – and the world – can fly to Orlando for a boat-buying experience of a lifetime. Sales will still be handled by a customer’s local dealer, but now buyers will have the opportunity to see all Regal models in one place, take a factory tour, meet Regal management, and maybe even take a little vacation at the same time. (What youngster wouldn’t want to visit Orlando!?) Regal is starting a whole new way for consumers to do their boating research.

Regal

Regal will feature every one of its 26 models in a huge 15,000 square foot, air conditioned, new showroom located directly adjacent to the Orlando International Airport. We encourage anyone considering a boat of this type to attend the event, or schedule a visit in the next few months.

A No Sales-Pitch Showroom?

The folks at Regal tell us that there will be no selling in the showroom. Regal wants all boaters to know that “there will be no pressure sales tactics at the showroom.” We know that’s hard to believe, but that is all part of the innovative concept developed by Regal. Their factory showroom is intended as place where consumers can do their own research at their own pace and in their own way. It is a place where consumers can spend time on the boats they are considering, without worrying about a boat show crowd, or a persistent sales person.

Once a boater has made up his mind which Regal he wants and how it should be equipped, the buyer will contact is local dealer, just as always before. All sales transaction will be done by a buyer’s local dealer.

Dealers Like the Showroom, Too

“Our dealers really embraced this concept when they visited during our Dealer Conference in November,” explained Regal’s President Duane Kuck. “Regal is a company that focuses on building relationships with our dealers and Regal owners. We feel the showroom is the next step in this evolution.”

To take a tour of the Regal factory or to visit the Regal Factory Showroom visitors must receive a “boarding pass.” Visitors can receive a boarding pass on the day of their visit by simply coming to Regal World Headquarters in Orlando and registering in the lobby entrance. Visitors can pre-register and receive a “boarding pass” from work or home by logging onto
