Ilmor 380-HP MV8 6.0L w/One Drive Sterndrive:
Tuned for Performance
The Ilmor 380-hp MV8 6.0L linked to a One Drive sterndrive lower unit is a sure way for a builder to make a statement about engineering and performance. The engine itself is a marinized V-8 with a hard-anodized exhaust system, a performance-tuned intake manifold, and standard electronic throttle. But then it’s matched to a robust sterndrive built to manage the high torque of diesel power, and, on our test boat, One Touch joystick control. It is all engineered and built by the folks at Ilmor, the same people who make engines for Roger Penske’s Indy cars.
