Fuel-Efficient w/2 x Evinrude E-TEC G2 150 H.O.
The installation of twin 150-hp Evinrude E-TEC G2 H.O. outboards on the Dusky 278 Open Fisherman has plenty of space on the Dusky Drive bracket to access the engines when necessary, or to step easily onto a dock, since the rigging for each engine is contained completely in a single tube. At WOT she ran 45.4 mph. At best cruise she got a total of 2.6 mpg. Note the upswept sheer on the bow, and the chine reaching far forward, for better spray protection.
