Absolute Navetta 73 | Boston Whaler 350 Realm | Galeon 420 Fly
The salon of the Absolute Navetta 73 gives the open-air ambiance and bright vistas of a Roman sea-side villa, but construction is all state of the art. She's built with the latest technology including Kevlar and carbon fiber parts to keep weight low and maximize strength. She's also the first yacht to be equipped with the new Volvo Penta IPS 1350s at 1,000-hp each, which produced a 23-knot top speed and 69.0 gallons per hour fuel consumption at a 17.3-knot cruise speed.
The standard hardtop of the Boston Whaler 350 Realm along with the full-height windshield provides good spray protection at the helm, while the lounging area at the bow has far more space than the typical bowrider. The cockpit is equipped for fishing and diving, including a dive door on the port side, while belowdecks she has a well-engineered seating area that converts in seconds to a double berth. Top speed with triple 350-hp Mercury Verados was 52.7 mph in company tests.
The Galeon 420 Fly powered with twin 435-horsepower Volvo Penta D6 engines proved to be a sporty performer, with a 5.1-second time to plane. Her top speed was 30 knots. She's available with two staterooms and a galley down, or with three staterooms with the galley on the main deck. Her stout build and high level of construction make her a dependable offshore performer.
The Sea Ray SLX-W 230 is an upscale bowrider with plush diamond-stitched upholstery seating up to 13. She comes standard with three ballast tanks and the Dynamic Running Surface with Wake-Shaping tabs that turn the boat into a serious towing platform. An unusual option on a boat this size is the Mercury JPI system, combining the main propeller with an electric bow and stern thruster for precision handling around the dock and in tight situations.
With an all-welded marine aluminum hull and baked on paint, the TRACKER® Pro Guide™ V-165 WT is highly durable, yet she weighs in at just 2,844 lb. (1,290 kg) dry, making her easily trailerable. Live wells both fore and aft make it easy to access bait, and three moveable swivel seats provide options for trolling, casting or still-fishing. We tested her with the optional 115-hp Mercury FourStroke, and she produced 3.2-second hole shots and a top speed over 42 mph.
