Back Cove 32:
Downeaster w/Style and Value
The Back Cove 32 is a Downeaster designed for dayboating or for a couple to go cruising. She has a single stateroom forward, but the dining area easily converts to a second berth. She's powered with a single 425-hp Cummins QSB 6.7, which delivered a cruise of 18.4 mph with a 1.6 mpg efficiency, and the sharp forward entry should provide an easy ride in coastal chop.

60 Fixed-Mount VHF Radios Researched
Any boat going offshore, even if only a few miles, should have a VHF radio. Even the most expensive are not too costly, and all have their own particular set of features and attributes. Not only are they an important safety item, but they are also useful for boat-to-boat communication, and weather news. A cellphone should never be thought of as a replacement. A wise boat owner will carefully select the right fixed-mount radio for his special application. Each year, new features are added and units just a few years old seem obsolete.
