Easy Sailing w/Safety Features
The Beneteau Oceanis 48 seen here has a reef thrown in, and the system has been designed to make it easy. Keeping a boat on her feet is one of the first rules of good sailboat seamanship, and reefing when you first think about it is a cardinal rule on any sailboat. The arch holds the mainsheet keeping the boom high overhead eliminating the chance of an accidental jibe causing injury. With an autopilot, single-handing is a cinch with the Oceanis 48.
