Mercury 4.6L V-8 Pro XS Series:
73.7 MPH WOT in a Triton 21 TrX
The all-new Mercury 4.6L V-8 Pro XS Series is a naturally aspirated 4-stroke outboard designed to provide smooth, quiet power and optimize fuel economy, all in a package with a weight as low as 505 lb. (229 kg). The large-displacement, four-valves-per-cylinder design delivers more power and greater low- and mid-range torque, ideal for bass boats. In our test runs on a Triton 21 TrX, we hit 73.7 mph.

Ocean Alexander 100 Skylounge:
Long-Range Cruising Motoryacht
The Ocean Alexander 100 Skylounge had a top speed of better than 26 knots in our tests, but most impressive is her range at 10 knots—over 1,700 NM thanks to her 4,000-gallon (15,141 L) fuel capacity. She includes a large entertainment area on the enclosed bridge, complete with day head and command center, which opens up the forward end of the main deck for a luxurious full-beam master with a spectacular view. Or choose to add a lower helm and a spacious country kitchen in this location.

Chaparral 250 SunCoast OB:
Deckboat Space in a High-Freeboard Hull
The Chaparral 250 SunCoast has the seating capacity of a deckboat, but the sea-handling capabilities of a high-freeboard, deep-V design—to say nothing of the appearance of a sleek dual console. The outboard design adds extra space aft compared to sterndrive setups, and with a Yamaha F300 she performs like this: planing off in 3.0 seconds and hitting a top speed of 51.5 mph.

Cruisers Yachts 39 Express Coupe:
Sleeps 4 or 6 in 2 Cabins
The Cruisers Yachts 39 Express Coupe has a sleek, curving hardtop profile, and reportedly has the largest sliding sunroof in class, as well as large sunlounges fore and aft. Her interior is functional thanks to smart use of her high freeboard and 12’8” (3.9 m) beam. She can sleep six below, with fold-out Pullman berths cleverly built into the backs of the salon seating.

Robalo R180:
Compact CC w/18-Degree Deadrise
The Robalo R180 is a compact CC with an 18’4” (5.59 m) LOA that will allow her to fit in most garages, yet she has considerably higher freeboard and more bow flare than many boats of similar size. She floats in just 11" (.28 m) with the outboard up, and we put her running surface and its 18-degree deadrise to the test.
