Chaparral 191 SunCoast:
Sporty Handling, Seats for 12
Powered with a Yamaha F115, the Chaparral 191 SunCoast had a time to plane of 4.4 seconds. In choppy conditions, she acquitted herself well in our test, with her sharp bow cutting through the waves and the 18-degree deadrise softening the ride. She has seating for 12, equivalent to pontoon boats of equal size, but she has more eye appeal and is more fun to drive.

Pronautica 29 Open:
Ultra-Fast Acceleration w/2x Suzuki 350s
The new Pronautica 29 Open is the first boat we have tested with twin Suzuki 350-hp duoprop outboard engines. This engine model is the only one on the market with duo-props and they paid off with a time to plane of just 2.7 seconds and a 0-to-30 time of 6.8 seconds. The boat is built in Brazil and has a number of design aspects that we think anglers will like. Perhaps best of all is her price tag.

Manitou 23 Encore SHP:
Evinrude E-TEC G2 150 H.O. Outboard and Monohull Maneuverability
The Manitou 23 Encore SHP uses her single Evinrude E-TEC G2 150 H.O. in conjunction with a tritoon design equipped with lifting strakes and “barracuda” nose cones equipped with multiple spray rails. The result is performance to the “toon” of 36.8 mph and responsive handling that lets the owner drive her like a monohull boat. Yet she has plush, L-shaped seats in all four corners for a dozen guests.
