Monte Carlo Yachts:
Using Aerospace Concepts
The construction of a large motoryacht is a remarkable project. It is, in fact, nothing short of building a modern multi-million-dollar house with virtually everything built in, plus having all of the normal municipal services aboard. Electricity must be made and converted; water must be made, purified, and transported all over the vessel; waste must be moved and treated before discharge – and perhaps those tasks are the simplest. Many aspects of the Monte Carlo build are state-of-the art which allows the Company to build boats lighter, faster, and with more versatility for customization. The builder has made a professional video of their build process.

Yellowfin 24 CE:
Mercury-Powered Bay Boat
For those who want to get to the fish fast (tournament redfishers take note) the Yellowfin 24 CE powered with the new Mercury 300 V8 is a boat that can do it. Top speed was 65.4 mph in our test runs. The hull is a mix of Kevlar, E-glass, and carbon fiber, says the builder, and it makes her dry weight just 2,500 lb. (1,134 kg). The new Mercury engine is 35 pounds (15.8 kg) lighter than the Verado in-line 6 it replaces, has more torque, and produces better fuel economy, according to some of our tests. —
