The Chaparral 347 SSX is both a large bowrider and a weekender for two thanks to a compact cabin below decks. The fiberglass hardtop is large enough to provide shade for the whole family. It’s equipped with LED overhead lighting and speaker-bar, and offers an optional, retractable SureShade cockpit awning. Below decks is a cozy cabin that can sleep a couple on a weekend outing.
The Leopard 43 PC, designed by Simonis Voogd and built by Robertson and Caine in Cape Town, South Africa, combines the impressive utility of a catamaran with robust construction. The flying bridge is the natural center of attraction, with standard hardtop and optional enclosing curtains, outdoor galley, dining area, and helm. With a 22’1” (6.73 m) beam and twin hulls, she’s a very stable platform, even in a rolly overnight anchorage, and interior layouts offer accommodations for up to eight guests.
The aft door and tilt-up window at the galley of the Cruisers Yachts 45 Cantius open to bring the outdoors in and make it easy to serve guests in the cockpit. A sliding sunroof is also included, assuring plenty of air-flow through the helm, salon, and dining areas. A 40,000 BTU AC system and 13 kW generator are also standard. Transom and cockpit seating convert to a sun lounger via an electric actuator.
Nobody likes crawling around in a cramped, dark, and noisy engine room, so the Monte Carlo Yachts 65 takes that into account for the owner/operator with access to the twin MAN diesels that are clean, bright, and efficient. There’s 5’10” (1.55 m) of headroom, and entry is step-in via a waterproof door from the transom, or from above via a deck hatch and stainless steel ladder. All the ship’s systems are well-marked and easy to reach.
Sea Pro is a well-known name among bay anglers, but this new iteration is several cuts above the original economy brand. She’s light at just 2,250 lb. (1,021 kg) dry, and when equipped with the Evinrude E-TEC G2 150 H.O. engine with a four-blade RX4 15"x18" prop she delivered quick planing. The hull is available in eight colors, easily matched with the vast variety of cowl colors and graphics from the E-TEC series.
