8 Questions Answered About
Alaskan Mother Goose Cruise
When you take the cost of charting a 42’ (12.8 m) to 52’ (15.9 m) boat and divide it by the number of guests aboard – six in most cases – the per person cost comes out to be much less than on any of the discount, round-them-up-heard-them-together-and-send-them-out cruise ships plying the same waters. We need not have to explain the other advantages of having one’s own vessel and commanding it. We have experienced this cruise twice and have made a short video on it that answers most people’s questions about the cruise.

Monte Carlo Yachts 96:
Party Hardy Night and Day
Yacht builders have discovered the utility of adding a bow lounging area to many models in recent years, but few do it with the style and flair seen in the Monte Carlo Yachts 96. The bow is a fully-functional entertainment area equal to a second flying bridge in capacity, and the forward lounges include flip-up backs to add comfort, while an optional “sun sail” can add shade at anchor.

Regal 26 XO:
Trailerable Pocket Cruiser Sleeps 4
The interiors of many so-called “pocket cruisers” are low, dark, and unappealing. That’s far from the case with the Regal 26 XO – check out the bright and airy look of the forward cabin, thanks to light upholstery tones as well as hullside windows and an overhead hatch. The area converts to sleep two, and two more can overnight in the mid-cabin berth. With an 8’6” (2.59 m) beam and a dry weight of just over 6,100 lbs. (2,767 kg), she’s trailerable with a full-size tow vehicle.

Galeon 420 Fly:
Inventive Engineering for Maximum Utility
Finally, someone figured it out. In the salon of the Galeon 420 Fly, there is a U-shaped settee with an unusual feature: the port side love seat moves over so six can dine at the table (with small plates). When not dining, the aft seat can swivel around and be used on the aft deck.

MAKO® 414 CC:
Wet Head with Bed Below
The MAKO® 414 CC is obviously not about luxurious, long distance cruising, but rather about getting to the fish far offshore at speeds over a mile a minute. However, the standup head inside the console does provide a place to get out of the rain or rinse off the salt, and the flip-down double bunk could allow catching some shut-eye for those who were out manning the rods.

85'-90' Motoryachts: We Compare Four Classy Cruisers

|
Clockwise from top left: The Ocean Alexander 85, MCY 86, Ocean Alexander 90, and Hatteras M90 Panacera -- all offer a combination of comfort and cruising flexibility.

The 85’ to 90’ (26 m to 27 m) range is a good size motoryacht for most people thinking about making the plunge into motoryachts. The onboard space and comfort level is there, but they also add in a bit of spirited performance and some cruising range that won’t break the bank (at least not as quickly).

Based on the feedback we’ve been getting about BoatTEST.com's Video Boating Course it’s clearly not only for beginners, but also for veteran boaters as well.
