Ocean Alexander 90R Motoryacht:
A Breath of Fresh Air
The Ocean Alexander 90R Motoryacht is an impressive new design with modernistic lines and features, including full-sized entertainment areas on three different levels—the one opening directly to the swim platform is shown here. The new full-width main deck forward expands living space to take full advantage of the 22’5” (6.83 m) beam. The main salon has floor-to-ceiling windows for unrivaled views, and she also has a large main-deck master suite, with up to four additional staterooms below decks.

Regal LS6:
Sportboat w/Rumble Seats
The 26’4” (8.03 m) Regal LS6’s aft seats are likely to be the center of the action anytime the boat is at anchor. Backrests within the lounges pop up to create rumble seats facing aft on fold-and-lock hinges. This makes for comfortable seating facing both fore and aft simultaneously. The seat assemblies can also become full aft-facing chaise lounges with the extra backrests folded flat.

Sea Ray Sundancer 350 Coupe:
Ground Tackle Well-Handled
The Sea Ray Sundancer 350 Coupe has one of the best ground tackle arrangements in class, in our opinion. The power winch is standard and it is under a large fiberglass hatch that provides smooth footing when on the pointy end. The hatch is held in the up position with a gas strut. Note the foot controls at left for the windlass, and the cleat to the right for tying off the rode, something we often don’t see, as some builders strive to save a few bucks here. The only thing we would change are the two round plastic access ports to the locker. We’d make that one large rectangular watertight plastic hatch to make it easier to untangle snarls in the anchor rode.

RANGER® VS1782 WT:
All-Welded Factory-Matching Trailer
Trailers are an afterthought for many boaters, but they shouldn’t be. First of all, the boat will probably spend most of its life on it. Secondly, if owners cheap-out on them, they will quickly look ratty. Ranger Trail trailers that come in factory-matched packages -- like the RANGER® VS1782 WT -- have features promising long-term durability. The trailer is a C-Channel design finished with “Road Armor”, a heavy polyurethane spray similar to the coating used in pickup beds for long term protection against chips, rust and corrosion. The swing-away tongue allows fitting the package into most suburban garages, and LED lights eliminate problems with blown-out bulbs. That spare tire is an option, and get it.

Mercury 4.6L V-8 Verado Series:
Electro-Hydraulic Steering is Standard
The green arrows point out the internal electro-hydraulic steering system that comes standard on the Mercury 4.6L V-8 Verado Series. The system has been engineered for this specific application and is not a one-design-fits-all. It is also made with Mercury’s corrosion-resistant materials, and is smaller than a SeaStar-type unit. It integrates seamlessly with the Mercury joystick system in multi-engine installations. Note the compact profile of these new outboards, allowing multiple engines to fit close together.
